We’re in January 2022! Let’s face it the months have just flown by. In fact, to be honest, the last two years seem to have been intensive time travel.
I have experienced quite a bit of nostalgia over the last few weeks…Interesting word ‘nostalgia’. It is the only word that can hold happiness and sadness in the same space. Therefore, how you choose to be nostalgic becomes your choice once again.
I feel it is natural and healthy to reflect on the year that is behind us, but one must be cautious and not live life in the ‘rear view mirror’. We don’t drive in reverse, we only use that gear from time to time. Mostly we really don’t have a plan.
I would humbly suggest that we start 2022 with intention! Just like the ease of our GPS apps.
Today, we enter an unknown address intentionally. This magical voice intrudes every now and then to direct you to the precise location you have inserted.
Why don’t we try and do that with our thoughts, words, deeds and actions? To intentionally think about what we are saying, doing or thinking? Digitally everything has become so easy to control and direct, but when it comes to our inner dialogue, we get so lost and distracted that it is impossible to reach the right destination.
Come on, fill that glass with intention and let us welcome the New Year with our own brand of purpose, courage and excitement to whatever destination you choose.
